From the August 1st bulletin:
- IT’S CHOW CHOW TIME – Veggies will be cut up on Tuesday, Aug. 3, (7:30 A.M. starting time) and canning will be done Wednesday, Aug. 4. We’re still in need of pint canning jars (no mayonnaise jars, please). Volunteer help is appreciated. See you in the kitchen.
- COMMUNITY DAYS 2010 -- St. Paul’s will once again be participating in the 2010 Community Days at Daniel Boone Middle School. The event will be held September 10-12th from 6-10 pm on Friday and 5-10 pm on Saturday and Sunday. We will be selling shoofly pies, whoopee pies and apple dumplings. Children will have the opportunity to play our “Aim for Jesus” game. Youth and adults are needed to volunteer in our booth. Volunteer as a family! See the sign- up sheet in the Narthex.
- Open dates to sponsor the bulletin – August 8 and August 29. Cost is $25. Call the church office if interested.
- ATTENTION ARTISANS AND CRAFTERS:
- The Fall Apple Festival will be held on Saturday, October 2nd, 2010 from 9:00-3:00. Members of St. Paul’s who are artisans or crafters are invited to rent a 10’ by 10’ space for $20.00 to sell your wares. Applications are available in the narthex after the service. Contact Anne Cormier, Anna Brown, or Lynn Grace with questions.
- More volunteers are needed to staff the nursery during 8 & 10:30. A sign up sheet is on the table in the narthex. The more volunteers we have, the less often you will have to serve. Call Susie Kresge at 610-689-9149 for additional information.
- The Worship Assistant schedule for July and August is on the website; copies are in the narthex.
- The Care Ministry Team will be offering blood pressure checks the second Sunday of every month immediately following the 8 AM service until the beginning of the late service. They will be located in the fellowship hall.
- Large print hymnals (red binders) for the visually impaired are available in the narthex.
- Nursery care for children age 5 and under is available during both the 8:00 and 10:30 services. This is located in Room 123. A baby changing table is also in this room.
- 3-day weekend—Festival of Lights, West Virginia – Nov. 12—14 (includes 2 shows, 5 meals, plus more). Call Diane Davis – 610-689-5633.
- Christ in Our Home—Daily devotional booklets—for July, August, and September are available in the narthex.
- The Pastoral Care Team is continuing to collect money for the Agape Fund.
